The City of Lakes Chapter

Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is a membership organization for mothers with children ages 2 to 19, dedicated to nurturing future Leaders by supporting children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty. Jack and Jill is divided into 262 local chapters within 7 geographical regions in the United States. The City of Lakes Chapter is included in the Mighty Mid-Western Region: https://jackandjillinc.org/mid-western-region/

Membership in Jack and Jill is obtained via legacy status or via invitation.

Membership via invitation

We appreciate your desire to join our organization. Prospective members must be sponsored by a current member of the City of Lakes Chapter. Prospective members will be invited to attend a meeting where pertinent information, such as the qualifications, cost, selection process, and other information will be discussed. Prospective Mothers and their families will be invited to attend select chapter open activities. Invitation to these activities is intended to provide interested mothers with opportunities to get acquainted with members of the City of Lakes Chapter, but does not guarantee membership into the organization.

Invitation to membership is extended after the chapter voting process. Accepted prospective members are required to meet financial obligations and attend member orientation prior to initiation into the City of Lakes Chapter.

Legacy Membership

Legacy status is granted to each child (male or female) who graduates from a Jack and Jill Chapter and whose mother is a member in good standing at the time of the child’s graduation from the chapter, and meets the other criteria for membership. The deadline for submitting a request for Legacy Membership is January 31st. Legacy forms can be obtained from our National Office at this link, or by contacting the City of Lakes Chapter.

Associates

Mothers who have tenured out of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated can continue to give back to the organization as an Associate. On December 1st, 2022, The City of Lakes chartered the 31st Mid-Western Associates Group. A mother may become an Associate member of the organization when either the youngest child completes high school or when the youngest child reaches age twenty and the mother completes tenure in good standing. Associates and Associate Groups add value to our organization by supporting their local chapters and the Jack and Jill of America Foundation. They strengthen our organization by addressing the unique needs of Jack and Jill by embracing the institutional knowledge and wisdom of our tenured members. Associate Members who meet the documented criteria may apply for Life Membership (please click here for the form).

Father’s Auxiliary

The City of Lakes Chapter Fathers’ Auxiliary continues to be an active, thriving, and vital part of our Chapter. They are our champions, our grill masters, and all-around supporters. Each year, our fathers support Chapter initiatives and activities in addition to hosting their own networking events. Our City of Lakes Fathers continue to advocate the understanding of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. organizational goals while supporting and assist with local programming! The City of Lakes Chapter Father’s Auxiliary provides an opportunity to develop brotherhood among Jack and Jill Fathers. With a variety of interests and activities, fathers easily connect with one another, often building life-long friendships. When we work together, we can do more. We are truly thankful for the dedication of Father’s Auxiliary.
